AUGUSTA, Ga. - If you're looking for some great shopping, the 2008
Augusta Futurity has many opportunities to help
you do that with vendors offering many one-of-a-kind,
handcrafted items and the annual sale of cutting-bred
horses.
Space-to-space vendors will be throughout James Brown Arena --- upstairs, downstairs and outside --- throughout the show's 10 days (Jan. 17-26) offering all kinds of Western wear, beautiful jewelry, original paintings, ornamental items and other special treasures.
And, beginning Wednesday, Jan. 23,
dozens more vendors move into next-door Bell
Auditorium for the annual "Western Expo" for
the duration of the show.
Ticket holders to the Futurity have access to the arena lobby vendors while the general public can visit the Western Expo for free.
And on the final Futurity morning, thousands
of folks will gather at the arena beginning
at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, for the
annual horse sale conducted by the Ben Emison
Sale Co. of Weatherford, Texas.
More than 60 mostly cutting-bred horses will
be offered for sale from several states. Viewing
is free to anyone, and cash and personal checks
with proper ID are accepted. No credit cards
